New things coming down the pipe?

Not a whole lot of new stuff I can show at the moment, but I have been working on a handful of personal things. These are a bunch of little concepts/background paintings done for an animation project with a buddy of mine.
Still working on defining a real solid look for the short, but we're getting there!

More more Dragons of Elanthia concept art.

Hey guys! I figure as long as I can share some of the work that I've been doing on Dragons of Elanthia, I'm going to do so.
So these are some various concepts, some from a long time ago, some from more recently. You can probably tell which is which.

Also, I wanted to mention, next time you guys post some work be sure to take advantage of the option to add labels to your post. (in the blogger interface it's on the right side) Google will index those as relevant search keywords so that sites like chimera come up in random google searches. You may already know all this, but as general practice, tag the crap out of you stuff (especially on Deviantart). I'm only mentioning it because I recently got an awesome freelance job just because the AD at a publication searched for "pulp illustrators" or something and my work happened to show up on google.
I believe it could easily be as obnoxious as hashtag abuse, but one of the most difficult parts of being a professional in my experience is getting your work in front of people, so you might as well create as many opportunities for it to happen as possible, even if it's on accident!

More Dragons of Elanthia concept art

Here's some more, folks! Also, if you want to learn a thing or two about zbrush, check out this twitch tv channel that we started at work, my buddy Roder knows more about that program than anyone I know and he's been streaming his work and talking about it.

Dragons of Elanthia concept art

Guys and gals! Guess what?! I can finally post some of the work that I've done this year on the game our studio has been working on, Dragons of Elanthia. You've probably already seen me talking it up on Facebook and stuff, but as long as I'm posting the work I'm going to post links too. Share with your friends, please!

Donal, I like your Western stuff

Donal, your wild westy stuff has gotten me inspired. Also there's a CGHub challenge I think I might participate in if I can get organized enough. Here are my color comps/sketches for a Robbers' Roost.
I tried to keep them at 15 minutes a piece, but the middle one ran about 30.
I was trying to work less with descriptive color and just draw with colors a bit more.
Hope everyone's doing well these days!

small update

Ugh, please don't judge my very beginnings too harshly in this Zbrush sculpt. I've only put an hour or so into it thusfar and faces are HARD. I'd love to achieve a sort of Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite kind of exaggeration. I think I'm missing out on having things be just a little bit planar and sculpted...we'll see. Also, trying to suggest some kind of nationality doesn't make things easier.
Anyways, thoughts and crits are always welcome. I figured I should post something just so the recent momentum is sustained!
